Former President Jonathan has visited one of his closest allies, Governor Nyesom Wike at Government House, Port Harcourt.
The Former President was received by at the airport by Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and some top Government officials.
Present during the visit were the Chief of Staff to Governor Wike, Engr Emeka Woke; the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Hon Kenneth Kobani and the Edo State PDP Chairman, Chief Dan Orbih.
Jonathan and Governor Wike had a closed door meeting at the Government House, Port Harcourt before the former President left for another engagement at Okrika.
Governor Nyesom Wike served as Minister of Education during the Former Presidents administration and was seen as a major player in the rift between the then President and the Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
Rivers State was a divided political space during Jonathan’s regime, with the various political heavyweights pulling in different directions battling for the soul of the oil-rich State.
