Evil Pastor Defiles 24 Teenage Boys In Ebonyi


An Anglican Church cleric, Paul Morah, has been arrested by the police for allegedly defiling over 24 teenage boys at Enyibichiri community in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Morah, who hails from Orji River in Enugu State but came to Ebonyi for pastoral mission, used a diabolical handkerchief to lure some of the children, who are aged between 12 and 16 years, especially those who tried to resist him.

One of the children reveals that the cleric used to send them on errands and when they come back, he will ask them to enter his house.

In the house, he will ask them to remove their clothes. If they resisted, he will remove their clothes and defile them.

Confirming the report, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP George Okafor, said he would brief journalists when investigation was concluded.

He said the matter has just been transferred from Ikwo Police Division to this place (headquarters), and investigations were still ongoing.

Describing the situation as pathetic, the Coordinator of Ikwo East Development Centre where the incident occurred, Hon. Chinedu Ogbuoji also confirmed the report. According to him, these days some people hide themselves under the umbrella of religion to perpetrate evil.

The acclaimed pastor when interrogated further said he spent only three weeks in the church before he was suspended by the Anglican Church in Enyibichiri community.

When the case was reported to him, he, the town union, and the youths quickly intervened. the suspect was apprehended and handed over to the police.

Hon. Ogbuoji further narrates that some of the children claimed they are members of the church, and nobody knew what the pastor  used to lure the children. Though it’s been purported that he uses diabolical handkerchief to lure them. He assured the people of further investigations into the case.

President of the community’s town union, Hon. Nwoba Sylvanus, narrated that it was in the early hours of Tuesday morning that he got wind of the incident.

Only four children were so far identified – the oldest is about 17 years. One of them is in primary six, two are in JSS II and the other one is in JSS III. But from the investigation of the divisional police officer at Noyo junction, the children are up to 24 now.

The cleric claimed he was a pastor in Anglican Church but when one of the pastors of Anglican Church was contacted, he said they had suspended him for over three months.

The pastor said when he came to them, after observing him; they discovered he was fake and was not working in line with the doctrines of the church.
