Famous rapper Drake (born Aubrey Graham) has made it to the Forbes list of Top 5 richest hip-hop stars. The music star who turns 30 in October once said he planned to make $250 million before his 29th birthday. Though less than 6 months away from his next birthday, Drake is certainly on course.
Drake’s net worth currently stands at $60 million, taking over the 5th position from rapper 50 Cent who recently filed for bankruptcy protection after losing most of his over $100 million VitaminWater sale windfall cash.
Standing at number 1 on Forbes Richest Hip-hop Stars list is mogul Sean “P Diddy” Combs with a whooping net worth of $750 million. Largely making his wealth from investments in the famous Bad Boy record label, clothing line Sean John, Diageo’s Ciroc vodka, his own TV network Revolt, his alkaline water company Aquahydrate and Tequila Deleon.
Hit maker and renown producer Dr Dre comes at a close second with a net worth of roughly $710 million. In 2014, Dr. Dre made history with the sale of his Beats By Dr. Dre headphones to Apple making a whooping $620 million from the $3 billion deal, earning the highest ever amount by any musician alive in a single year.
