NEA’s best female celebrity disc jockey and billionaire’s daughter, DJ Cuppy, has completed her Master of Arts degree at the New York University Steinhard School of Culture, Education and Human Development. The excited newest master degree holder and proud daughter of businessman Femi Otedola, shared a screenshot of her certificate on Instagram with the caption:
‘After Two Years Of Hard Work… The Time Has Finally Come! #Gradation #NYU #Masters #CuppyOnAMission’.
The 23-year-old, real name Florence Otedola, is also a graduate of King’s College London where she studied Business and Economics. DJ Cuppy was born in Lagos and later relocated to London for her GCSE’s and A-Levels, where she started her career as a DJ.
At the age of 16, Cuppy found pleasure in buying second-hand equipment and playing in clubs. She also played at the Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball in London, and at the Financial Times Luxury Summit in Mexico City. Back in Nigeria, she constantly featured as the in-house disc jockey for MTV show, ‘Uncommon Sense.” In 2014, she was the resident DJ at the MTV Africa Music Awards in Durban.
In July 2014, she released House of Cuppy, her first music mix in both London and Lagos. She also has House of Cuppy in New York City and a music management and content production business, Red Velvet Music Group, which was established in 2014.

Cuppy’s sound is a fusion of Electro house and Afrobeats and she is one of a few successful female Disk Jockeys in Africa, which has led her to feature in the 2015 April/May issue of Forbes Woman Africa.
Her dress sense is both classy and African as she is the face for women’s wear label, Maju’s 2015 holiday collection. The beautiful DJ can pass for a model any day and according to her she is considering that line of profession as well.
