M.I Thinks 2Face Idibia Will Still Be Relevant In Next 100 Years


Prolific Nigerian Rapper and Chocolate City CEO, M.I Abaga believes that legendary pop artiste, 2Face Idibia will remain relevant in the music scene in the next 100 years.

The Chocolate City Boss, M.I who appears to be a big admirer of 2Face has expressed his thoughts about 2Face Idibia.

Innocent Idibia aka 2Face is a native of Benue State, Nigeria. He is arguably the most respected and celebrated Nigerian musical artiste.

Although 2Face has been enmeshed in a lot of controversy and Baby-mama drama, the African Queen crooner has continued to thrive and succeed in his career.

M.I who admires 2Face a lot expressed how proud he is to be associated with the Nigerian legend.

2Face officially changed his stage name from Tuface (2Face) to 2Baba or Tu-baba in July 2014.

2Face Idibia A Living Legend

2Baba is one of Africa’s most decorated and successful Afro-pop artists.

He has also been said to be one of the most bankable artists in Africa.

The duo (M.I and 2Face) have collaborated on several songs together, including  ‘I Just Wanna Be There’ from 2Face’s Unstoppable album, ‘Nobody’ and ‘Human Being’ from M.I’s second and third album respectively.

The duo recently released a new single banging the airwaves titled ‘Babylon’.


Speaking about 2Face, M.I said:

“When you think of Nigerian music 100 years from now, there are a few names you will have to mention.

“…I think that one person that we’re sure of from our generation – I think there are many amazing musicians – but the person that we’re sure of, even if he never says one more thing or makes another song that has to be in the top three of all time is 2face Idibia.”

There is no doubt that 2Baba is a legend and would be remembered for many years to come.
